My path has created an integrated study of theatre, storytelling, yogic philosphy and practice, meditation, music performance, shamanism and energy healing. My beginnings saw me born into Acadian and Metis heritage in Moncton, NB, instilling a passion for music, food, community, the earth, the ocean and spirit.
My studies carried me to Concordia University in Montreal (BFA Specialization in Theatre Performance), leading me to the National Theatre School of Canada (Acting). Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa housed me for many years as a professional performer and collective creator. Queens University later welcomed me to Aboriginal Studies, Environmental Studies and Womens’ Studies, where Kingston and professional Yoga instruction became my primary home places in 2009. Specializing in Therapeutic Yoga, working privately to empower individuals toward their own holisitic healing, has become one of my most powerful venues of integrated work and service.
Musically, beautiful seeds have grown out of the Kingston garden in recent years. Shii Drums, a hand drumming and social group, was born in 2010, performing traditional and contemporary medicine songs and leading workshops for public and private groups, is the shiniest gem within the creative bundle. Energetically, Reiki and sound healing have emerged to compliment my creative and yogic teachings in the past years.
I continue to study, practice and observe with great curiousity, the striking and speedy shifts moving through our collective communities and cultures in this time. We are being woven more closely together and are being called to integrate our inner and outer lives more fully, lovingly, wisely and consciously: as above so below, as within so without.
I am committed to and believe in healing and spontaneous transformation, and am deeply grateful for the opportunities, people, lenses, learning and insights gifted to me in this lifetime.
May we journey together.
